What we do at the Pod

Every session is delivered directly by Alex Gibson in a private, one-to-one clinic setting. We start by identifying what's actually driving your problem, then build a targeted plan to restore your movement, strength, and confidence.

Before you book

Common questions

Do I need a GP referral?
No, you can book directly without seeing a GP first.
Do you accept private medical insurance?
The clinic operates on a direct self-pay basis and does not process insurance claims directly. Receipts can be provided following your session if you wish to self-claim through an insurer that allows direct reimbursement.
How many sessions will I need?
That depends entirely on what you come in with, how long it's been bothering you, and your personal goals. Some acute issues improve in just two or three sessions, while persistent tendon complaints or post-operative recoveries can take longer. At the end of your assessment, we will discuss next steps together, giving you the level of support and guidance that you want and need. There are no fixed packages or forced commitments.
What should I wear?
Wear loose, comfortable clothing you can move in easily. Please bring or wear shorts if we are assessing a hip, knee, calf or ankle issue, as the area needs to be visible.
Will I get exercises to do at home?
Yes. Your home plan will be written down with exact sets, reps and target loads. Two or three key exercises done properly consistently beat a long list that gets abandoned by week two.
Do I need a scan first?
Rarely. The vast majority of musculoskeletal problems are accurately diagnosed through a thorough history and physical examination. If imaging is genuinely necessary to guide your care, we can discuss this together.

Not sure which one you need?

Send a short description of the problem and you will get a straight answer about whether the Pod is the right place for it.
